TO THE FIT FOUNDATION
The freedom of movement is something that you might not be able to appreciate if you have lived a fully-able life. The ability to be independently mobile is a privilege that many of us might not fully value until we consider or actually experience what it is like to be immobile. But that doesn’t mean anyone has to be resigned to immobility.
That’s where the FIT Foundation comes into play. We are a non-profit organization surrounding the “Motion Transfer Mechanism” or “MTM” created by ARC287BC, dedicated to providing opportunities and equipment for amputees or people with physical disabilities, to be as mobile and adventurous as possible. Through the perfected assistive technology of the MTM, the FIT Foundation is striving to contribute a variety of adaptive recreational vehicles that provide the opportunity for adventurous mobility for anyone with a physical disability. But we can’t do it alone.

A Non-Typical Non-Profit
We aren’t a typical non-profit organization or disability charity either — our foundation does not rely on continuous and/or frequent donations to provide what we do to our communities. Our non-profit model uses a self-sustaining model that allows us to provide the assistive technology of the MTM system in these adaptive vehicles, to community parks and public areas all over the country without requiring a constant source of funding.
